The Tennis Community of the German School Nairobi

The German School Nairobi has two murram courts on the school compound, which can be used all year round. Both beginners and more advanced players can take lessons from the two experienced coaches, Peter and Pius. The courts are consistently kept in a good condition by John and Ken.

The tennis community currently has around 100 members from different backgrounds, and many of these are family memberships.

Tennis News

The Floodlights are on!

Since January 2013, the Tennis Club of the German School Nairobi is "new and improved", with the installation of floodlights. Thanks to the donations of our members during the "Floodlight-Fundraising-Tournament: (December 2012), and the very generous support of the 2 companies Achelis and Swiss Airlines, we were able to go ahead immediately with the installation of the floodlights, as well as with other new acquisitions. We would like to thank the donors once again for their generosity.

The floodlights are already being used frequently, with more and more people wanting to take advantage of this facility. It is thus no longer a problem to swing your racquet or get a coaching session after 6 / 7 p.m.! Advance booking, though, is a requirement.
