German School Boarding House

Welcome at the Boarding House of German School Nairobi!

All information for the enrolling procedure as well as fees and contact person you find here.

A presentation of our boading house with many information and photos you find here.

The boarding house is an integral part of the school complex. Parents who do not reside in or in the vicinity of Nairobi can accommodate their children in a comfortable, safe environment under qualified pedagogic care.

Our boarding house with its own transport service offers all-round care 365 days a year. Apart from food and lodging it also offers homework supervision and weekend activities.

The boarding house has ten twin rooms and two single rooms all of which are bright, fitted to modern standards and each of them has an ensuite bathroom. Our dining room is equipped with an IT-corner, the TV-room cum library and the roofed terrace are popular places for relaxed social interaction. The school's swimming pool and tennis courts are in close proximity to the boarding house.

Mrs. Elizabeth Akoro is in charge of the boarding house. She looks after all our boarders in a dedicated, prudent and energetic manner. She speaks German fluently and is thus able to assist children who may experience initial integration difficulties. Mrs. Akoro is assisted by two Kenyan pedagogic staff members. The boarding house kitchen and house service team comprises six staff members.

Facelifting for our Boarding House

Since one month, there is a lot of creative work going on at our boarding house. It is the goal to make the stay of our guest students and all the other guests in our boarding house more cozy and comfortable. Let’s have a look at our “new” TV-Room!

You will find there now fresh colors, comfortable cushions and a carpet for getting the real “home feeling”, a quite good organized boarding house library, warm lights and colorful pictures on the wall.

The dining hall is impressing with a traditional, African atmosphere …

… and the corridors start looking much more colorful with first pictures. In the next step, the corridors will be decorated with unique wall painting in combination with more African decoration.

The remodeling of our boarding house is the result of the great co-operation of our PR & Marketing manager Michaela Wilken with the Head of our Art department Manja Mossmann and her Art AG as well as with the head of the Boarding House Elizabeth Akoro who gives the creative team so much space to realize their ideas. Thank you very much to the whole team and all participants!

Don’t miss to check out more pictures of our „new“ boarding house & people at work in our photo gallery!

More information about our guest students program you find here – don’t hesitate to forward them to your friends in Germany!

Accomodation facilities for external boarders

In case of vacancies the boarding house gladly accepts external boarders. Rooms will be rented to students attending other schools or to young adults who have taken up temporary practical placements in Nairobi.
