Germany - An attractive place of study!

Date 01/04/2014

Study opportunities in Germany - an exciting lecture by Christoph Hansert, head of the DAAD offices in Nairobi and his assistant Svenja Mank. The evening was hosted by the Resource Centre of the German School Nairobi in the gymnasium of the GSN.

In good old university tradition, the event started 15 minutes later than planned. About 50 interested students and parents, especially of scholarship holders, were listening to the one-hour lecture, which was followed by a quite interesting answer session.

In an entertaining manner the audience was provided with useful information about the various opportunities to study at universities and at universities of applied sciences in Germany. Overall, there are 392 German universities, which you can study not less than 16.144 subjects at the highest level. That proofs internationally a wide range of recognized quality standard.

In addition, there was a lot of information on how to find the appropriate university, on the inexpensive and attractive location for a study in Germany, as well as advice on funding opportunities and the application process.

After the lecture and the questions in the plenary, there were offered biscuits, drinks and the opportunity for personal discussions with the speakers and for exchanging experiences among the participants.

Here you can find an excerpt from the presentation of the DAAD:
